7C started in our studio. Paint, texture, quick decisions, and the kind of work that reveals itself through movement and revision. We are Mariana and Juan Luis, artists who have spent more than a decade building our practice in New York.

We didn’t set out to make clothing. The idea came from wondering what happens when artworks stop being still. What they becomes once they are  out in the world, moving the way people do. Down the street. Into a station. Turning a corner. Stepping into a room.

We began turning our paintings into garments. Not as printed graphics, but as new forms built from the same marks and choices that shaped the originals. The medium changes. The energy stays the same.

We design for people who want presence. When you wear something from 7C, the room adjusts. Someone notices. The atmosphere shifts.

Everything we know from art and graphic design is in these pieces: composition, contrast, rhythm, intention. Everything we have lived in New York is in them too: speed, noise, weather, honesty, the constant need to define yourself in a city that keeps moving.

7C is not fashion pretending to be art. It is art built for bodies in motion.
